Choosing A Kettle
When I wanted a new kettle I thought it would be easy to choose one – but I hadn’t realised there was so much to buying a kettle!
It’s funny isn’t it that we can spend so long on buying something we might use only occasionally and yet potentially don’t spend time and trouble on something you use every day! There are so many kettles to choose from I think it is good to have some consideration about what sort of kettle you want.
A beautiful kettle can bring you joy with every hot drink, hot water bottle and soup and stock you make!
Funky Kettle Or Functional Kettle?
Depending on what sort of person you are – you may start with functionality – and then decide on the looks – or you may want a kettle that matches your kitchen and you like the look of and then you will make your selection from that! I must admit then when I started looking I was so taken with some kettles that I started ignoring other aspects. There are some such lovely looking kettles around it sames a shame to go for something really plain and boring when you can have funky and delightful!
And there is price. The range is from aroun £10 to £150. It seems often cheaper kettles last as long as the expensive ones – but with the more expensive ones you get some style and robustness that is lacking in the cheaper ones. So it all once again depends on where your priorities lie.
I have been so taken with the concept of buying a kettle – and the difficulty of collating all the information – that I created a new website putting together what I have found out – and I will continue to update it with new kettles. In fact this has started off a series of forthcoming websites reviewing kitchen equipment. As always your input is invaluable . So the website is www.kettlebuyer.com. Have a look around when you are next going to buy a kettle!
Whatever your requirements – I hope you find Kettle Buyer useful and you get much joy from your new kettle!
