- 225 g red lentils
- 500 ml water
- 1 onion peeled and sliced
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 85 g mature cheddar cheese grated
- 1 teaspoon dried mixed herbs
- 1 egg beaten
- 25 g breadcrumbs
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C
Put the lentils in a saucepan with the water
Bring to the boil and simmer until soft (about 15 minutes)
Heat the oil in a frying pan
Fry the onion until soft
In a large bowl, mix together all the ingredients
Grease the flan or cake tin
Add the mixture and spread evenly
Cook in the oven for about 30 minutes
