Ginger and Cinnamon Tea

Deliciously warming ginger drink

  • 1 Knob - about 2.5cm root ginger
  • 1/2 stick cinnamon bark -or-
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • splash lemon juice optional
  • a few drops honey optional
  • 400 mls boiling water


  • Grate the root ginger
  • Break up the cinnamon stick with your fingers or in a food processor
  • Place ginger and cinnamon in a jug and pour boiling water over
  • Stir and leave for a couple of minutes
  • Add couple of drops of lemon juice or honey if desired
  • Pour into a mug through a large tea strainer or seive
  • Enjoy immediately!
